Thank you all for the responses. After 69 responses (nice), it appears like no one besides @westonci is having success. However, maintenance treatments are notoriously hard to measure and no one other than west has been taking this for very long. We probably also have to question the purity and delivery of the treatment.

I am thinking about jumping on a test dummy who will at least try it for a year. Thanks again and please continue to update this thread.

Sorry mate, what on earth are you talking about?
Did you read the responses at all? Many people have stated they have had reducing itching, some are shedding (potentially new stronger follicles pushing the old ones out) and vellus hairs popping out?

What's your measure of success? Grow every god damn hair back?
Many people can't maintain with anti-androgens so just being able to maintain with setipiprant would 100% be classed as a success.

Huh? I referred to Seti as a maintenance drug. Maintenance or even an extremely slowing of decline from baseline would make Seti a great success. However, no one has the results or treatment time to make that claim. Please link the posts that claim Seti has halted shedding after at least 6 months. Even shedding is a terrible indicator of male pattern baldness but at least it's something. I am hopeful for Seti and just as optimistic as I was before I started the threat but the results aren't there yet.

Personally, I can make the itch go away at anytime by taking cetirizine orally. Or even by avoiding foods that spike insulin. Many forum users never experience scalp itch. I don't believe that it is a great indication that a treatment is working.

Ah yes you did, my apologies. If I'm being perfectly honest I was a bit hasty in that reply and didn't really read your post..
My hair loss is getting to the point where it's affecting my everyday decisions to even step outside the house, I just for the life of me want all of this to be over and not have to worry anymore..

For me, setipiprant and Samumeds SM04554 are the only options left and i'm afraid by then the damage would have been done and there's no going back... So when I thought you said setipiprant dosen't even work I sort of had a small mental breakdown and lashed out.

Apologies again,
Nick

Ok, so it's been 4 weeks since I've been on 1 gm./day and still no significant results in regards to decrease in shedding. I just bought more from Lyphar and plan on upping the dose to 1.3-1.5 gm./day. Will update again 4 weeks from now.

Not looking too good right now, so far finished one week of 1.4 gms./day and still no reduction in shedding. Scalp still itches, too. I have a 3 wk. supply left and at this point it's highly unlikely I'm going to continue on after that.

You could be one of those genetic non-responders.

I'm not sure about that.
Day after getting haircut I see only small hairs falling. 1 month after getting haircut - I see longer hair falling which means it had to grow during that period between haircut and hairfall day.

But how would that explain how some people experience significant reduction in shedding from seti or finasteride within the first few days of use? They also claim their scalp itch also went away during that time, which would further indicate how quickly the treatment would kick in for those that respond to it.

Not that surprised, since oral finasteride didn't work for me either. Will probably try topical finasteride as my last resort, although there's a good chance that won't do anything either. Was really hoping attacking pgd2 would be the key to stopping my hairloss. Only thing left for me at this point would be to get scalp micropigmentation, shave head, and move on.

You could try equol. That's almost like topical Finasteride anyway but you're less likely to have nasty side effects that would make you quit.

Really interested in trying the Brotzu lotion but not sure if it will even be available this year, which is why I'm looking into topical finasteride instead. I don't want to have to get equol and try and mix a topical on my own, would prefer to use an already put together commercialized product.

On seti 2gr and 1mg pge2 for a month now. Still losing massive amounts of hair.

Do you think rs equol might be interesting for me @whatevr ? I seem to be a non responder to everything like you.

Were you already losing alot of hair before going on seti + pge2 or did your hair loss get worse while on seti + pge2?

Sounds like we're in the same situation, as oral finasteride didn't do anything for me either. Only have enough seti for another 3 weeks which would put me at the 2 month mark. Planning to quit if I don't notice any results. If you decide to stick with this for 4 months I'd appreciate it if you could continue to update. If you start seeing results at the 3rd or 4th month I may decide to jump back on @ 2 gms./day.
