I just got three bottles of Alpicort-F in the mail, I was thinking about trialing it with small amounts only on my hairline once daily. If you just use a little bit on a daily basis is there still a high risk of systemic absorption and a raise in estrogen along with side effects? I'd imagine using a small amount would keep systemic fluctuations low.

Also, FYI I'm already on finasteride and minoxidil 1x daily.

Mr. General After The Battle playing wise lecturing others but won't share his almighty wisdom.

f*** that noise, moving on...

you shared your "wisdom" and because someone tried what you tried they ended up in a hospital. You have no clue what you are doing have almost zero understanding of hormones in the body. You got very lucky that your doctor prescribed you topical estradiol, but you were too dumb to see the other issues with the other ingredients. Also, you grew gyno and only after the fact you thought to get an anti estrogen. You not only didnt have it on hand but you didnt even know the name of one that would work...

So its a little funny when I hear you talking like you know anything

Seriously? Who?

When playing with hormones you obviously have to do your research, and have check ups with your doctor.

Ok, but even if his "wisdom" might be wrong, he is trying to help us with what worked for him, sharing his experience, you just tell us someone ended in hospital without revealing who, why, when. Then you tell us the treatment is wrong, again with no suggestions of a replacement and no info of what worked for you. So, don't get me wrong, but you are not really helping us.. give us a little more information.

I'm thinking I'm gonna quit my Alpicort F trial. Selling my 2 bottles.

I been feeling like absolute sh*t lately. High blood pressure, ended up in the ER, was worried to leave the house the following days, tried to workout and haf to quit my w.o. cuz I felt my bp rising. I feel the pressure in my mid forehead and eye sockets, also the fatigue is driving me nuts. I quit everything for a few days. I also quit minoxdil for my beard.

Uh, Ok my bad!
I didn't know that abbreviation and didn't get it.
Guess I have to apologise.

I only took alpicort f for two weeks. The estrogen was definitely having a positive impact on me, more energy, better libido, while having reduced sweat and sebum. Similar to finasteride. I stopped it however, because the prednisolone was triggering some slight allergic reaction.

I'm estrogen deficient and I will only push estrogen into the normal range, to control e1 and e3. Estrogel will arrive next week and I will dose very carefully.

I would be great if you could give me some help along the way, Hemingway. Even though I did a lot of research I barely scratched the surface of the male endocrinal systems' behaviour.

I already heard that e2 without progesterone is a bad idea, and I will only try it because I'm deficient.

I guess so. My endocrinologist was thinking about it for three months, running tests and finally decided that the 17 beta hydrogease seems to be inhibited slightly.
I have the hormones before elevated and the hormones after lowish. However e2 was not found in my system in two tests.

I also assumed the symptoms of being estrogen deficient was due to me being a pussy and just very recently found out about them when I researched e2.

However I can't be good for my hair if estrogen is missing, while MtF therapy induces massive regrowth, so I will take a shot. :)

My endo suggested having my genome sequenced, but I don't see any benefit in that.

your endo seems clueless. Most doctors are just coasters that shove their degree in your face anytime they cant help you with your problems. Go see a couple of endos before you give up, yes having low e2 is very bad for you hair (if you actually do, estrogen tests are not so reliable)

I don't actually think he is clueless. He at least took me serious and gave me a proper diagnosis/hypothesis and even suggested to test his hypothesis with a gene test.

Looking around I got the feeling that the endocrinal system is understood poorly in general. It took forever to just find out that there are downsides to a lack of estrogen in males. On top of that, just seeing what the pill is doing to a lot of young girls tells you everything:

There is a serious lack of research due to the fact that hormone management is very different in each individual.

It is not my responsibility that someone ended up in the hospital. Did I order or tell someone to do what I did? This is not a medical advice board, and people do way crazier things here than apply a prescription topical to their scalp.

The (mild) gyno is from Finasteride. Was I supposed to be taking an AI with Finasteride as well? I'd have gotten it from anything that alters the Androgen/Estrogen ratio, but you apparently think you're very clever for knowing about Letro or Tamoxifen.

I also have a naturally high estrogen level which is probably one of the reasons why this works for me because it only seems to work for a few other people so far.

Of course I knew Alpicort's ingredients could be problematic long term. There was nothing else I could try at the time, and nothing else would have given me the same results anyway.

You come in here attacking my success and my methods while bringing nothing in the way of any advice to the table. Bad form.

What is thy Alpicort, my child whatevr.

Would it grow hair on thy head? Would it effect my manly beard.

Would hot sl*ts still be attracted to me?

If so, whatevr will get A FREE PASS TO HEAVEN. I SHALL GIVE YOU MY ADDRESS,
AND YOU MUST SEND Alpicort for FREE, MY SON!!!

FREE, or you will go to HELL AND BURN FOR ETERNITY.

Interesting. My estradiol was one notch below the bottom of the range. I also had very low-normal testosterone, low-normal DHT, and elevated cortisol.

A short course of raloxifene has been good in eliminating gyno on a number of occasions for me. For those on Alpicort, it could be an option and i have never lost ground using it. It gives you a chance to experiment with dosage and frequency knowing that estrogen is being blocked from breast tissue.

So, I finally got with a chick yesterday, and I kept being hard then not hard while we made out. When we got to the blowjob part, her technique wasn't the greatest and I had trouble getting a proper erection. sh*t was embarrassing as f***.

I did some introspective and realized that my libido is f*****g crap compared to when I was 19. I only feel like jacking off once every 4 or 5 days, and it takes a lot of mental stimulation and even more physical stimulation and I barely get to 100% hard. My too high serum estrogen levels probably doesn't help.
I am going to go to my doctor with this and ask for an AI. Of course this is going to mutilate my hair so my last hope is to use some concentrated E2 cream + salicylic acid as a topical, while controling serum levels with anastrozole.

If that doesn't work then I guess I am just going to have to say goodbye to it. What good is hair if you can't even f*** normally? Defeats the whole purpose. sh*t.

Doesn't estrogen convert to dht though so would finasteride or dutasteride be better than using progesterone.
