Why Aren't You Getting A hair transplant? Just Do It.

Hard for me to understand the perspective of younger guys, but this close to 2020 and "potentially" groundbreaking treatments I'm going to wait it out. If that's a disappointment, I'm off to Belgium or Spain.

We'll be saying "we're this close!" in 2020 also.. Then same thing in 2022.

No reasonable maintenance solution. Without being able to stop my hair loss from progressing further (without side effects), getting a transplant is just pointless if the rest of my hair is going to continue miniaturizing. I first need to find something that works and that I can tolerate. Sadly no such luck.

This. If I could just find a way to legit maintain I'd be on first plane to Istanbul.

Also have retrogade and thin caliber hair so that's not exactly ideal either...

If you're old, anything goes hair wise, he looks about 60. Even plugs look more natural or dodgy comb overs, holes in the crown, receding hairline. It's almost like saying wait until your old, your baldness will look more normal, as your face will match your hair. Also guarantee you that thin tuft of hair on top will be completely see through outdoors = bald. Imagine a young guy outside with his friends, insta update.

Majority of guys getting hair on here or needing it are in their early 20s or even late teens. It's important at this age to end up looking natural in the most important period of their lives. I've seen people with really bad diffuse hair grown out in younger guys who attract ridicule on facebook, there's a point when shave/buzz is the better option whether we like it or not.
The advice is for Sunchyme who is around 30 if I remember.

I think he was saying he is heading to nw7 before 40 and he doesn't have a great donor section.

The only two options is to shave or to get the norwood 3 transplant like I posted.

You just get another hair transplant, and then another.

Then once you've depleted your donor area, at worst if you're not one of those extremely rare NW7 with thin donor, you get to have a reasonably dense NW2.5 with a bald crown, which makes you look ten times better in 90% of social situations than if you were a slick NW6.

I'm not advocating for anyone to do anything if he's not beyond a NW3. No one besides yourself (sometimes not even yourself) will notice anything up to then. Once you go beyond NW3 or there is diffuse thinning involved, you should get a hair transplant.

I'm not saying this lightly, I went for my first hair transplant as soon as I could possibly go for it, than means I waited until I had a nearly clean bald NW5 area to start rebuilding it. Once your frontal third is decimated, you have nothing to lose if you pick a top surgeon.
When you come to Australia in November, can we meet for a drink? No sex, just a drink.

My second hair transplant was quite painful for some reason, much more than the first. And if it was the only problem, my head swelled like a balloon from the anesthetic. It made my girlfriend and my relatives laugh quite a lot, and it's understandable :p.

Anyway, it's drastic, and after seeing a TV show about botched hair transplants a few weeks ago, I'm infinitely grateful to have found a surgeon like De Reys. Here's what happened to one of the guys:

If you hit the NW4 mark and you stay there, you'll be in for a ride to hell.

Never, ever remain bald. But you need to have experienced true baldness to understand.

You are very lucky, because even in the U.S., where hair transplants are a lot more expensive than other countries,
botched hair transplants happen quite a lot.

When I go down the steps in my gyms, there are quite a few guys who are diffuse in the sides
AND the back of their heads.

You can see their entire scalp, not just the vertex and hairline. And it looks really bad.

I actually think people who have less hairloss (Norwood 4 or less) do better (with transplants) than people
who are Norwood five and higher.

Well of course because they are in the earlier stages of hair loss.

Using 1500 grafts to improve a nw2's hairline is a lot easier than using a limited supply of donor hair to restore a nw7.

bottom guy actually looks great bald

watching his vids now

great head shape, tan skin, decent looking.

much rather rock this than some shitty combover
He looks okay bald. He's also married so hair loss isn't as much as a concern for him.

I first found his videos when researching toppik.

Do you think Trump would look better shaved?

Or do you like his hairstyle?

Would you get a hairstyle like his?

TBH he pulls it off but nothing special. As for shaving, it's an individual choice versus what hair you can get back. It's a long road back after being bald and he did the right thing. Sure he'd snap someone's arm off for a full head but that's not an option. Since he can't get that, he shaves and he looks fine. There are some guys on slybald that look good - a handful among many.

He'd be blown away though by handsome full heads.

i meant to say hed look better than most bald guys :D

How can he looksmax?

He's already in decent shape, groomed, and seems to dress okay.

Cant see much else he could do - maybe tanning and teeth whitening but it doesn't seem worth the effort.

just little things like buzzing hair more often, not letting it grow out

putting more muscle on

wear better clothes

always leave a beard stubble

getting rid of that back/shoulder hair

If I was in my 70's i'd hope to look age a little more graceful.

Presuming he has as much hair as Clint Eastwood under that combover - I would say emulate a similar style and colour for his age:

The back hair isn't really a concern of his - he's married so unless he's going swimming then nobody else will see it.

As for muscle - I think he's in great shape for a guy around 40. We get used to seeing Hollywood bodies; but if you compare him to a normal 40 year olds body then he will be in the top 10%.

You're right with the head shaving: he does look a ton better when its cut short.
