Did anybody try Laser device with any sort of success?

Perhaps I've missed it. I'm still waiting to review a product/company list( on this thread) of LLLT devices that show at minimum, marginal evidence of hair growth. When we are in fighting mode, words count for zilch.

What's up ID? Long time to see(or read). Guess you were taking a break from the forums. I am really thinking of doing the same. Sort of a sanity vacation if you know what I mean.

Llt would make the perfect cherry on top of a towering junk pile once viable methods that yield real results becomes available. Snakeoil salsemen would wither up and die like the weeds that they are once a real cure comes. Blessed be that day.

Now, how about if we go back to discuss specific results.
As a researcher myself (not related to the field of hair loss) I feel we need to focus on the published results.

In the paper http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40257-013-0060-6

what do you think of the reported increase of density? (figure 2-c and 2-d page 122)
It is around 20 hairs/cm^2

thoughts?

The study results are positive, so its worthwhile trying it for yourself and see?
I am in the process of doing the same, but I dont expect any "regrowth" of already dead follicles just improvement on the existing ones that still have a chance.

Didn't know you decided to give it a go. Hopefully you have success.

Yeah thought to give it another shot since I did it over 10 years ago with good effect and besides, units are a lot cheaper these days. It's only been a week and I've been using it every night, 30 mins applying minoxidil first. Will gradually reduce to 3 x week.
will keep you posted.

Corelation between the number of laser diodes and the % improvement in hair count

Thank you for your post - I followed the link and carefully studied the document - and noticed a correlation between the number of laser diodes and the % improvement in terminal hair count - this applies to men only, there was no difference in women. This study of 3 different laser combs with 7 - 9 & 12 laser diodes showed improvements of 18.4% - 20.9% & 25.7% This supports the notion that:"the number of laser diodes is proportionally related to % improvement in hair cont - valid for men only, women didn't show noticeable improvement. Could this be extrapolated into 300 diode full coverage laser machine?? Any thoughts?

So why did that guy get banned? For trolling?

Hey guys. We've been keeping an eye out on the forum for a while but after seeing this mess we just had to log on and say that we haven't posted on this forum since we last got banned (until this very post of course). leave us out of this, we left already. bye.
Like we are suppose to believe that, after all the similarities, give me a break. Don't fall for it guys, this obviously another one of their angles - a last ditch attempt. How noble to have come out public, but only after their last account got banned.

I am not trolling, but is the final verdict that LLLT as a whole is a scam? Is it certain devices that are not worth buying? Or is it just that the results are not satisfactory?

BTW, I have been using for 5 months and have seen little to no change at all.

The only valid "intermediate verdict" is that as long as no mode of action is known, the likelihood of any positive results whatsoever is very, very low.

I'll probably give LLLT a try some time next year nonetheless, after I've established a stable baseline with finasteride (which I have just started two weeks ago) so I can actually make reliable statements. I expect not to see any results from LLLT (damn, the explanation "energy gets juices flowing" is the most stupid there is - you could also use a light bulb or a heater according to that "explanation"), but I'll do neutral documentation and let others be the judges.

As you've been on it for 5 months now, could you create a photo thread?

I already added before and after pics I believe to this thread, if you haven't seen them you haven't missed much. Little to no noticeable change. At the end of the year I will be at 6 months. I will take pics and compare, if I see anything positive I will post pics. I have been going back and forth whether or not to throw in the towel if no results by 6 months, but I am considering giving it a bit more time. At this point it is just 20 minutes out of my day so it is not a huge deal to continue. I would rather give LLLT a solid opportunity to work before calling it useless.

Obviously, because we want to try every option. This is also why I want to give LLLT a try, to answer this question once and for all. I have a camera that is suitable for professional documentation and I hope my professional background gives credibility to my claims. But first I'll need to establish the finasteride baseline, which will take months as I've only started.

Even if you don't see anything in one month, could you please post the photos nonetheless? It would be the perfect weapon against the next instance of "but there's no threads reporting no effect!". Even a none-effect is a very valuable result, and photos are the best proof.

Are you seeing any change to your existing hair?
Ive already noticed that my hair is a lot stronger, thicker and easier to style comparing to prior laser.
i say this lightly tho and it's only 2 weeks in... I may still experience the common shed to come?
