I’m going very light atm, fraction of a dose once a day. But I was hitting the estradiol hard for last few months. Don’t want boobs right before summer
Once I feel my sex drive ramps up I’ll prob increase to one full dose a day, maybe even two. As long as I don’t see signs of thinning skin or increased vasculariy, I’ll continue. Have ralox but haven’t used it

FWIW, here are comments from today, from my buddy who's been using bi-estro for months now:

"Libido and erections are still great. Erections seem to be a lot more full and vascular. Skin still looks great. Maybe not quite as tan as before but maybe that's because I dropped the dosage a bit. Perhaps I should bump it back up"

Sorry guys, is Bi-Estro the best topical estrogen available OTC?
Probably is. There is also pure estriol cream OTC that I just bought (Estro-life). Haven't used it yet. The dual estrogen approach seems like the best tho.

Does dexamethasone really increase head aromatase by a factor of 9? it's true? then this is the best medicine. but he has a lot of side effects.
I am quoting something @bridgeburn said. I don't have the reference but I think we can trust the guy :)
No side effects so far, very low dose and also topical. I have dexamethasone eye drops and add it to minoxidil. solution before applying to scalp. Using it ~ 3 times a week.

Did bridgeburn take pills or eye drops? How do you feel these drops give you something? oral probably better. but I'm not sure.

I have a question...

When people start consuming spironolactone and estradiol, do you just consume both on the same day? Or is there some sort of build up?

I'm thinking of ordering Dutasteride, but I'm not sure if that might be a little dangerous since I'm not allowed to have anything which is metabolised directly through the liver...

Most people start taking spironolactone and estradiol at the same time and take them daily. They build up in your system over time. It can take months for them to reach the correct levels. I don't really know anything about Dutasteride.

Ziggy! What's up.

Did you ever pull the trigger on a FUT/FUE?

What are you using these days for hair? I remember you were using dutasteride and had no results, but you finally stopped using it?

What’s up dude haha. I never got a hair transplant because I don’t respond to anything. I’m on Cypro now and dutasteride. Still receding bad and Cypro is actually giving me slight gyno. I just don’t respond hit wise to any type of medication. Still have sebum plugs, still have itching, still have scalp pains lol.

My body just won’t cave and respond.

they reach peak serum levels very quickly (less than a week) as their half lives arent really that long. Depending on the form of estradiol you use, you can reach peak levels in only 4-5 hours

@Ikarus if your liver is damaged id consult with your doctor before taking anything. In some cases drugs like oral steroids are 17a methylated to be absorbed but it is super harmfull for the lives. However drugs like dutas and certain forms of estradiol are not as dangerous.

All of these drugs are metabolized and filtered out by your liver though

Personally, I don't think spironolactone will have a negative effect on my liver as it is processed through the kidneys and is a medication used to treat cirrhosis of the liver. When it comes to estradiol having an effect on my liver, I'm not entirely sure because I will be taking it sublingually; from what I have seen on reddit forums, people say it bypasses the liver when taken sublingually.

Dutasteride, however, may have a negative effect as it is processed through the liver. I doubt it is harsh on the liver, especially at doses such as 0.5MG... Something which is bizarre is that my GP offered to prescribe me finasteride, which is metabolised through the liver, but he is putting spironolactone on hold.

I do see my dermatologist in under two weeks, and I don't know what will happen. I have wrote a page explaining why I want these medications with studies as evidence, and hopefully she will understand as I am at a breaking point. It would be understandable to say 'no' to someone who isn't being affected by their hair loss, but this situation is having an immensely negative impact on my life.

tbh i have no idea what you are talking about. While I havent looked into this too much I know that spirinolactone is metabolized by the liver into its active metabolites.

you should do more reading on this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15947888

I'm fucked no matter what I do. I feel like sh*t on Cypro, I feel like sh*t on spironolactone and I feel like sh*t on Estradiol. I don't know how much longer I can keep going like this. But I know if I stop I will probably jump right back on this crap once I see my hair falling out again. I think I will try spironolactone again since it makes me feel like crap but at least I won't get the depression and complete lack of motivation I get from Cypro. Time to piss and sweat all day again. Here comes an elevated heart beat and high cortisol. I can't wait. I haven't had a good night's sleep in months. Im damned if I do and damned if I don't. I guess I'd rather be damned with hair. f*** my life. I think im gonna have a nap. It's the only thing I'm good at right now.
So far 2 weeks off cypro, while keeping the others, and my dick is back to normal and sleep is much improved. Clearly it's the cypro, atleast for me. Take the E down to 1-2mg instead of 2, see if hair stays good.

And just to be clear, I don't think this makes cypro a bad guy, it's just that strong, and because it takes a long time for hair to grow, it's still beneficial but you might not see results for a few months after. But I just can't stay on it for long periods and maybe it's for the best.

*Sigh* something important to add is that Accutane has most likely given me liver damage after just one month of using it, lol... I have to see a liver specialist soon, I hope this doesn't mess up me using spironolactone... :(
why do you suspect liver damage?

I don't think I have liver damage as I don't have the symptoms, however my AST levels are elevated due to Accutane and still hasn't lowered to the normal range after two months of discontinuing use. I don't see it as a big issue since my AST levels have lowered compared to when I was on Accutane, and it can take different amount of times to lower depending on the person...

But honestly, I don't give a flying sh*t about the condition of my liver. I just want to start these medications for my hair!:mad:

You're still sticking it out on dutasteride despite still losing ground?

Why not throw in the towel at this point? Think we last spoke in 2016... think if you were going to see results with dutasteride, you would have seen them by now?

For some people, finasteride/dutasteride just does not work, is my point. Seems like a waste of time/money to continue.

Have you tried 100mg oral progesterone, by any chance?

recently investigating the feedback of testosterone understood that when there is little testosterone is generated increase it. Is this what Flutamide generates? So does it mean that my fall worsened during 2018 because I took Flutamide? or is it simply a fall so that it grows stronger? the dutasteride and finasteride I also consume them ... do you think I should stay with those two?

Yeah in a way I feel you are right. I started only using dutasteride every other day/ every three days because I use 2.5mg now. Still, it’s a joke. Hairline itches and is terrible now. I have like 1/4 inch hairs on my hairline that are straight up dead and my hair isn’t short.. so it doesn’t work on me

Haven’t tried or even given thought to progesterone. Have you?
