You knew I was going to say they're fake letters because it's not very difficult to do, but it is another example of the lengths you'll go to. You did taunt me in another thread to say why it's so obvious you're full of ****, when I did you just ignored it, people are correct about things being cyclical and neither of us changing our mind, this letters episode has proven to me that I'll never win the battle of the bull****, so I suppose I have to leave it at that.

Why all the scrutiny? Im no stranger to it myself with posters hellbent on disproving and debating my own depressing personal testimonies. But Fred is a long time poster, we've seen him evolve through many stages and has the credibility from years of real baldness which has tempered his cynical, realist outlook. Are we guilty of exaggeration at times? I know I have but that happens when we get emotional about something that is so relevant to us. Sometimes I may say everyone is starring and gawking at me! I know its not true but even if its true with fifty percent of people fifty percent of the time it still FEELS like everyone is gawking. Scrutinizing over how much or how often or to what degree becomes irrelevant when it happens enough for it to bother you and disrupt your daily life.

dude why do you ignore my posts? I said I'm not good looking, I also said that fred was doing better than I ever did in the dating scene even before his hair transplant, and I still have a good head of hair.

plus, fred is not ugly, from what I hear he's above average, and according to fred's logic you don't have to be completely bald for all ditching and cheating to happen, even just balding will have the same effect.

Just FYI Fred does not have "followers".

Believe it or not, some of us came to the obscure viewpoint that looks are very important long before we started posting on this forum.

Where Fred distinguishes himself, among other areas, is he has the energy and dedication to write 100 posts a week arguing with hair loss and jduk. I don't know how he does it.

As for your inane point, I've rarely or never seen the coping point made though it's certainly valid to some extent. The bottom line is that being bald puts you at a handicap. If you think it makes you a genius that handicaps can be overcome by excelling in other ways, then more power to you for that minor intellectual achievement.

You know, lots of fat people get hot girlfriends. Yet I choose to lose weight regardless ... because it increases my odds. If you're operating at a low intellectual level, you won't understand that probabilistic framework for viewing and interpreting the world.

Bottom line: The counterargument that "some bald guys do very well" is ignorant, imbecilic, and obtuse. It may also be a coping mechanism.

Some poor guys do well.
Some short guys do well.
Some guys in wheelchairs do well.

They're not going to let you into Harvard Law School with your level of "argumentation".

Sorry? I've not exactly spent a great deal of time even in discussions with 'Fred'. Certainly not recently. I do however think someone who literally writes the same "its all looks" post and is blatantly rude/offensive to people, even younger and new members of the forum (see the recent 16 year old asking for help), make this forum a far worse place. I don't think the guy is sane, I think he exaggerates and I think he think because of his mentality he tries to drag other people down to his level. He certainly isn't a "pleasant guy" as he likes to call himself. I've seen quite a few people in the general area and elsewhere reiterating my feelings and quite honestly it amazes me that he is still allowed to post here. It amazes me more that there are people here who support him but this place does attract all sorts.
