Just went to walmart and the pills are not as expensive, 200 tablets of 500mg is roughly $50, don't know how long that will last since might have to apply 2-3 times a day at 100mg per ml? The prescription is obviously going to be the problem though, so will see if I can get around it, I did find it without prescription online but it was one of those 0 Google page rank pages. Don't really trust those and they don't have an SSL certificate anyways.

You should probably start at ONCE per day at 100mg in 1ml application. Give the usage a couple months and see what happens. If nothing happens, up the dosage and do it twice a day and then see what happens.

200mg x 500 pills = 100,000mg = 100 grams

At 100mg per application that will last you 1,000 applications.

If this stuff works... imagine... $50 bucks to regrow your hair? That'll put all hair transplant surgeons out of business, lol.

See if you can find someone already on the drug and ask them for some of the pills. Shouldn't be too difficult to obtain it, its not an illegal substance.

There is one thing I don't get on how a topical of this would be effective. When we try a topical is usually to eliminate local DHT on the scalp, but since this drug as at reducing the immune system, is a topical really going to reach the immune system in the scalp only? Or I'm I missing something, isn't the immune system one big circling system and needs to be downgraded as a whole?

The immune system should not be downgraded. Then we would be venerable to common diseases similar to that of a HIV+ person. But localizing the effect or even slowing down its response to our scalp hair follicles can open a window to its
regeneration over time.

But the whole effect is of downgrading the immune system so that it doesn't kill any more follicles. Then hair will regrow again. I don't think the drug has some sort of growth compound that makes hair grow. Instead it attacks the root of the hairloss, the immune system.

I would just like to know if localized immune system can be leveled down sort of speak. Or is it one huge system with no way to affect one spot without affecting everything.

So I went to the doctor today for a prescription for Sulfasalazine and showed him the research paper and explained as much as could. Anyways, long story short, he felt comprehensive and did wanted to help, I wanted initially a prescription of 200 tablets of 500mg each, but he only gave me 20 tablets of 500mg. The reason is because it's not FDA approved for hairloss and he said if anything does happen, he would be held responsible. I told him that I would come every 3 months for immune system check but still he was hesitant to give me more that 20 pills.

So if I start to do a topical approach at 100mg a day I will have enough for 100 days. I didn't find any everclear to use as vehicle because it's illegal here in California. So I am thinking I am going to drop it in a liquid minoxidil(which I need to buy since I had foam). The guy in the original paper too 15mg 3 times a day orally, so maybe I should use less than the 100mg topically? Or how does something like that translate to, I know Hellouser advised on 100mg.

So after the pills runs out, he asked me to go to another doctor or buy it from Mexico lol. What do y'all think I should do now? At any rate, I have been on minoxidil and finasteride for like 4 years, so if I do grow anything, it's going to be because of this. Oh and the price for it was $30 for doctor prescription, and $5 for the pills at Walmart lol :D. Pretty cheap, I hope to put out the hair surgeons out of business.

Thanks, everyone, but it's going to have to wait until I get some cash for liquid minoxidil. Unless someone is willing to donate me some

http://www.amazon.com/Minoxidil-Reg...1407996721&sr=8-2&keywords=kirkland+minoxidil
this is what I am going to get, was gonna get 6 month supply at $25 bucks but shipping is an extra $10, so might as well get the one year and free shipping.
But anything you can donate is fine, not asking for much anyways. You can pm if you need email if you do wish to donate. Or better yet, send me the minoxidil as a gift option :D.

Did my first application today. Bought some minoxidil and it's 60ml bottle, so I ended up putting 10 pills in there crushed and they dissolved pretty good but it turned kinda red. Hoping for the best

hellouser, are you sure topical is going to cut it?
after all its about weakening the immune system... shouldn't he aim for systemic approach?

Guys, understand that it's best to try out topical first. Hopefully with some luck it works, and it should be safer. If I go straight to oral, then I risk too much and we would still be left with the question of if topical would ever work.

I am probably going to give it aroun 4-6 months. Then if that doesn't work, I may consider going oral but with a lot of lab exams in the process.

As far as I know, I'm the first to try topical.
