83% as effective as Finasteride? Looks like we are going backwards. Who even is satisfied with Finasteride? Garlic oil is probably 83% as effective. We need 500% as effective..

HMI-115 is 1,000% as effective in macaques, but yet to be tested in humans.

In essence it silences the AR without side effects? Is there are discussion of the theory as to why this will not silence the AR elsewhere in the body (goes systemic after topical application)? This is the type of things that I need tons of clinical data to believe the side effect story, unless I am missing something.
Once you mess with AR outside the scalp you run into problems.

Synthetic small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) are potent inhibitors of gene expression

Sadly the nucleic acid-based therapeutics field is above energetics therapeutics in this century, imho changing genetics is a russian roulette, and without results with common baldness, better an holistic approach.

it is totally possible for such a molecule to become inactive in deeper skin layers or in the blood stream. olix is developing a similar type of treatment and it has been tested in human skin models and shown not to have much systemic activity. just think of minoxidil which has basically no activity systemically even though if you took the dosage you apply to your head orally you'd legit get cardiac arrest. not every drug acts as stupid as ainsteride in that even a tiny dosage can have a major systemic impact https://www.globenewswire.com/news-...Study-of-Hair-Loss-Therapeutic-Candidate.html

this is not the only company doing research on hair loss and inhibitory RNA molecules. in the case of Olix they used something called a Franz Diffusion Cell (https://www.creative-biostructure.com/images/Mempro-TM-Liposome- Penetration and Permeation Test.png) where you put in a skin sample and as I understand it check how much your compound penetrates the skin, what properties it has etc.

also they used in on mice and didnt find any of their compound in blood. while mice are not a good model for androgenic alopecia, I think they have thinner skins than humans even and thus this might be a good model when it comes to penetration testing. if you apply finasteride on a mouse it WILL go systemic

Dude, there's literally an answer 3 comments above you. You could have saved your time if you would have bothered to read a few comments in the thread instead of asking questions.

I swear this website is a hellish cycle of people asking the same questions over and over again in the same threads instead of taking the time to scroll the previous pages or above comments and look for the already established answers. Every thread is a constant repeat. How lazy can you be.

So I did some research on this this weekend and found some information -- don't have the links handy but they're easy to find via Google.

Right now, CosmeRNA has been rejected by the Korean FDA as a cosmetic because it's a novel treatment. Bioneer (distributing KR company) is currently going through the appeal process, but that's never a great sign. They're also submitting to Germany's equivalent as a cosmetic and are looking for partners in the US still.

It’s in Korean, what’s it say?

It’s the first hair loss treatment using SAMiRNA technology.

Unfortunately it was not approved by their FDA because they don’t have enough safety data.

Unfortunately this article doesn’t talk about how successful their treatment is.

But I guess it’s a great sign. Companies around the world are working on next generation solutions right now!

But those articles are from December of last year and contradict what was announced later at the JP Morgan Health Care Conference 2022

They may have done well on appeal. I don't think they will risk to expand to Europe and the US without any type of approval from the Korean health authorities.

All speculation for now.

Bioneer Targets H2 2022 Euro Launch Of CosmeRNA (Translated from Korean with GT)

"Bioneer announced on the 8th that 'CosmeRNA', a functional cosmetic for relieving hair loss symptoms, which is being prepared for release in Europe, has acquired the 'Excellent' grade in the safety evaluation of German Dermatest.

Cosmerna is the world's first short-interfering RNA (siRNA) gene technology-based functional cosmetic for alleviating hair loss symptoms. Bioneer's original technology, RNAi human delivery platform SAMiRNA, is applied to have the effect of decomposing messenger RNA (mRNA) with genetic information that makes proteins involved in hair loss.

Bioneer plans to acquire excellent 5-STAR rating in the second half of the year and prepare a bridgehead for entering the European cosmetics market through European CPNP registration, and then actively prepare for global market launch.

A Bioneer official said, "After publishing an SCI-level thesis on the safety and efficacy of Cosmerna in an international academic journal under Nature, this grade acquisition is encouraging for the product launch. We will take the lead in the global market as a game changer in the hair loss symptom relief product market.”"

"We will take the lead in the global market as a game changer in the hair loss" - Those are some big words but I am still worried this will become an expensive cash grab at the derm. office like PRP and mesotherapy.

Still, lots of good news recently. With Kintor and siRNAgen we might actually get new treatment options in 2022/23 after more than 2 decades.

Is this another company: „Our clinical trials showed that we successfully grown 2 more hairs,“?

Great news, so Germany approved this? Meanwhile the Korean FDA did not approve it as a cosmetic... Weird.
"Regulation (EC) N° 1223/2009 (Article 13) states that all cosmetic products that will be placed on the market in the European Union need to be registered into CPNP prior to being placed on this market."

The German Dermatest only tests products for skin tolerance AFAIK. The products still need to get a CPNP registration before the products being launched in the EU, but I am not sure what other institution is in charge of giving safety approvals (other than skin tolerance).

Seems they just need to register it at CPNP https://ec.europa.eu/growth/sectors/cosmetics/cosmetic-product-notification-portal_en

Bioneer plans to acquire excellent 5-STAR rating in the second half of the year and prepare a bridgehead for entering the European cosmetics market through European CPNP registration, and then actively prepare for global market launch.
So best case scenario would be a release in Q4 of 2022, but with all the pandemic stuff and supply chain problems a 2023 launch would be more likely.
