Yeah, I know. No World War nor massacres, unfortunately. The poor will just get poorer, the rich will get richer, and the middle class will keep disappearing. Everything perfectly normal.

The media here is actually thrilled about the fact he bombed Syria.

I get the difference.

If you got the difference you would stop referring to it as 'locker room' talk

million women did not march for the words of a dirty old man.

million women marched because his words--leader of the free world--imply assault is equated to locker room talk.

Something you are now doing as well.

It was a good documentary though. I could give several examples, but one is that in one of his buildings he listed the floors as 10 extra. So 43 was 53. People prefer to buy a place on the 53rd floor over the 43rd.

I'm on my phone otherwise I'd link the documentary. I did think it was good, it had what he inherited and his relationship with the media as well.

That stuff about him does not bother me.

You should look into how he used his personal life to gain fame.

he is a fame-wh***...

Nothing particularly wrong with this but if you look at what he did for fame--to me it would be like Lyndsy Lohan (without drugs) or Paris Hilton running for president.

Just a vapid fame wh***.

I think you just like to debate for no other reason then to debate to death.

I gave you my opinion. You can disagree with it but why go on and on?

You say assumptions I am saying that its not the instant real thought you have in a real conversation in person.

Yes and you're mistaken in your assumptions about others.

If your opinion is that the Sun revolves around the Earth, other people might correct you.

Mostly I thinks it's overblown, probably nothing much will have happened in 4 years, as usual.

I think it created a new larger generation of feminist activists...I'm sure you guys will be thrilled LOL.

Assumptions by definition are possible mistakes.

So what you just posted is moot.

I form an opinion based on posts and i feel the more real character is coming from more spontaneous

This is rubbing your wrong for your own issues.

Fame wh*** is not as bad as scummy car salesman tactics IMO. But I've never followed celebrities or anything so no idea what that actually implies about him. I'll look it up sometime.

Looking back at it may seem benign from modern times

But witnessing it in the 80s and 90s, it was extremely distasteful and scuzzy to watch happen in real time.

I just see his presidency as an extension of his need for fame and 'love'.

No, it's what the locker room talk implies.

As Trump correctly pointed out, rich people can get away with a lot. He can just grab women by the pussy and get away with it. And he can get laws changed, violate environmental rules, violate ethics rules, violate labour rules, etc etc. Right now he's violating international laws as he pleases.

Government is entirely focused on liquidated the poor, the middle class, third world countries, etc do that the top 1% and even 0.01% can live better and better.

All my broke friends would "get away" with saying "grab her by the pussy" and much worse.

I agree I think it is something more 'blue collar' is more accustomed to and NOT shocking compared to corporate world.
If head of Pepsico was caught saying exactly what Trump said on audio he would be forced to step down.
Where a worker in a factory may not have this issue. Or even a white collar job just not high profile or PR related.

Ah, yes. The unbiased media. LOL Hundreds of children get killed by drones under Obama, nobody panics. All part of the plan.

Someone dies in bombardments when Trump is president.

You guys must be watching different media then me I am seeing constant criticism of Obamas handling of Syria.
And praise for Trump on this airport bombing and now on the Afghanistan bomb.

I bet his poll numbers will go up now.

You can't give me 'an asterisk mark dramatic sigh' followed by a weary 'why do I bother' as if i am an intellectual midget you just can't seem to reach without a mental 'f*** off' from me.
Have you met me?

My post was not directed at you at all. More so at non natives wishing to seek improvement like Captain. I also post most times in a rush so don't really care for grammar. I know when I need to write properly, it's fine, glad to be a native speaker of English too. I get your point about conversations flowing more naturally when you write how you talk and being unfiltered in the mind. Everyone has their own style and it makes the forum richer for it.

(I did not take it as personal directed at me no worries.)

That's always the hardest part from my interactions with non native speakers. When it comes to speaking, I notice the accent is off. The intonations, the choice of words, the speed of language, overly polite or inappropriately questioning. It's part and parcel. You can tell in an instant if they are foreign. Having said that, I've seen some people that have "neutralised" all this to a large extent and although still appear non native (as expected), their speech is very good. I think you can be one of those Capt.

Also a lot of foreigners actually have better grammar than natives. Natives forget the rules and also learnt to speak before they wrote. And local English is so "rich" in a bad way, it's clear why that can pass onto written language when you speak completely differently. One example is some natives will write "should of" and not "should have." Purely because they sound the same almost when spoken locally.

Nothing like being lost in a book though - so many beautiful words to describe a scenario. Sure it's the same in other languages too though.

Thanks, I will have to spend significant effort improving my oral skills. Maybe get some voice/speech coaching.

This focusing on writing on HairLossTalk.com and other forums has had a positive effect in my professional life (which involves some amount of writing). Prose flows better and with lesser effort. And it has been noticed. I'm sure @hairblues, even though a writer, believes style is not that important, but there is a halo effect involving writing and speaking too. I see it. People being viewed positively just because they can bullshit better.

Still, I do not have the fluidity of Zircon/Buckthorn or you. I need to read more books as a first step towards further improvement.
