Yeah, I mean he doesn't look bad, still a decent looking dude, but he'd undoubtedly be better looking if he dropped down a Norwood level or 2. Thus male pattern baldness is negatively affecting his looks.

He is also in danger of the balding stigma...as in, he clearly has male pattern baldness = he's on a path that ends with a bald head. I'm not interested in people having that thought about me

Dont you think age makes a difference with men..I mean Justin Theroux is like mid 40s...its normal and to have some thinning hair--it would almost look odd if some men had same hair line as in 20s.
its like men who dye their hair black but are older--it looks better with a little bit of salt and pepper the super dark almost makes them look 'older'. with the contrast.

I agree but, I think the important thing is looking good overall. If you're NW3 or below, you can look handsome. That's what really matters in the end.

I doubt George Clooney would choose to have visible hair loss if given the choice.

I agree the stigma definitely carries less weight the older you get, as more and more guys around you start to thin, but as long as you're still an age where appealing aesthetics are possible, the closer you are to NW1, the better you will look...in fact this will make you stand out in a positive light.

I mean, should you let yourself get a dad bod just because many others in your age bracket are? f*** no. You'll set yourself apart in a positive way by staying fit

I mean yeah, you do the best you can, and if NW3 is the best you can do then you roll with it and make the best of it for sure, it could definitely be much worse.

Referring back to your earlier post, I don't think an NW2 is necessarily bad. Actually I'd say NW2 with good density is the final good, nonbalding looking hairline. I don't have that. If I did I likely wouldn't be bothering with a transplant. I'm like 2.5 with poor frontal density

Well as a woman i am just saying i would not think it looked odd to see older man with some receding especially if looked like Justin theroux whose body is INSANE hot.
I agree with Dad Bods...will not one hair on his head with a hot body over dad bod and hair of a 20 year old.

Ok, I see. I thought you had good density. Then I guess the strategic combover is fine. My point was if you are NW3 or below with good density, then I think you don't need to hide your temples, and you can go for a hairstyle similar to Justin Theroux.
Good luck with your hairtransplant btw.

You guys really think NW2 is that bad? This guy is NW3 and still looks good, he has thick hair though.

This hairline can look good when his face is turned to the "three quarter" position. Where this hair line can look quite confronting is when the face is turned to look directly at the camera.

And with movie stars its a bit different the men are usually paired with women much younger than them as costars at least 10 years sometimes 20...so I am sure for the men this has some pressure to be fit, wrinkle free, good hair line. if they look like their costars father its not so good lol.

Well, let's hope other women feel the same way. He does have a bit of a Joe Strummer look.

I don't know see myself ever being comfortable bearing my bald temples to the public....not anytime in the coming years. When you're publicly mocked for that sh*t in front of females, it fucks you up in your mind. And if you're like me where you're already a very self conscious person with bdd it makes it like 100x worse

Yeah.. And I believe that to be publicly mocked means that you mustn't look too good with your temples exposed. I'm speaking generally here, mate. Not just about you.

I know from experience as it has happened to me.
Some men can get away with temple exposure while some men can't. I believe if you have a largish forehead then temple exposure is a social faux pas, hence the mocking from the good citizens that you have offended.

I'm 27. I believe I was 25 when my social circle at the time identified me as a balding man. I've since moved back to my home state, and everyone here knows me as a fullhead due to my now advanced combover skills

True Detective was imperfect but had one of my all time favorite scenes ever. they did it all in a 'oner' from start to finish..freaking genius. So f*****g hard to do they probably spent days repeating it over and over to get it right.
i dont know wtf happened season 2.
Sorry, I inadvertently disliked your post, then corrected and liked it.
Apparently the recipe for disaster of season two is that the studios needed a script to pile on the success of season one, but the authors did not have one. The inspiration was gone.
And yes, the long long one-shot scene of season one is so beautiful.

kj, his hairline is angled and a bit high but nothing noticeable unless you are looking for it. it still doesn't affect his looks but i would definitely watch that hairline if i were him

Sorry, I inadvertently disliked your post, then corrected and liked it.
I have done this a few times while skimming the forum on my phone. My damn thumb will hit the "dislike" option. Then, if the post is a good one I will correct it and hit "like."

Now, I think the person on the receiving end of this will get an alert saying such and such has disliked one of their comments.
Then a second later that same person gets another alert saying that such and such "likes" one of their comments.
It must be confusing.
