“B-but back when MY GENERATION was young we understood that boys are boys and girls are girls!”

Stop. You’re embarrassing yourselves. Sorry it’s too late for you to realize that male hormone is crap.

Observation:

Summer 2022- I start HRT via estrogel monotherapy, I experience extreme shed due to starting an extreme (despite poor) regimen. I start estradiol cypionate injections in Jan 2023 and start experiencing good results.

Summer 2023- I switch from estradiol cypionate to estradiol enanthate based on a 4chan user informing me that it is an 'objectively better' ester. I experience extreme shed, leading me to switch back to cypionate/regrowth in autumn.

Summer 2024- Approx 2 months into lower 12.5mg daily bica dosage, reduced from 25mg after shedding. Shed shed shed shed shed

So is it at all possible that I just shed during the summer? I always blamed this on my funky regimen but I feel like the temperature is gonna go down this autumn and my hair will start looking much better and stop shedding.
Anytime you shift your hormones you’re risking telegon effluvium. That can be immediately, or it can be months from when you shifted it

Usually the hair reacts late. A month after I stopped T, I started experiencing telogen effluvium hair loss. It's still going on, but I know it will stop in about 2 months. You should not be concerned about telogen effluvium at all, you should ensure that there is no miniaturization.
In the context of the fact that hair reacts to hormonal changes with a delay and you need to wait months until the situation stabilizes, it is foolish to believe people’s stories about how changing the estradiol ester stopped telogen effluvium. This would happen even if you didn't change the ether, you just had to wait.

Damn this forum has fallen hard compared to what it used to be. Why all the hate on each other guys? The enemy is male pattern baldness and we gotta do everything it takes to stop it. I was going to ask about people's experience with bicalutamide since I've already been on finasteride and minoxidil for 10 years and it's starting to lose effectiveness. Anyone have any success on bicalutamide? I don't mind mild feminization (which I hear is hardly an issue on bica anyway)

I decided to use what already worked for me and not take risks. Some claim that Cipro ruined their hair due to high progesterone. Maybe I'll try Cyproterone in 8 months when my Bicalutamide runs out.
Is bicalutamide helping you?

I used to be a lustful person and I never will be again. Chasing hair is entirely more valid than chasing orgasms
Yea but the issue is that these meds can f*** you up big time. You can buy a full cap hair system and no can tell it's even fake. You have to go get them custom made tho. Not the ones you buy online and glue to your head like a weirdo

I don't understand how someone can be on finesteride for ten years and it actually work for them and then come to this form thinking about tranny drugs. The obvious solution would be dutesteride. Since finasteride worked for so long. Also if it's worked for you for ten years your prolly like what? 30? Since your hairloss isn't extreme you could prolly get 1 hair transplant and it last you Till your 45. Or longer. I mean be happy finasteride saved you in your prime

No sir you got the wrong idea. I have sh*t genes, started going bald at 16. Currently 26. Finasteride and minoxidil saved my *** no hair loss for 10 years but now it's starting again. Yes I'm hoping to stop the loss then consider a small transplant in the front to lower the hairline. Ive read alot of success with bicalutamide and how it doesn't actually lower testosterone just prevents it from binding to the androgen receptors.

Turn on English subtitles. This video is about the evolutionary decline of masculinity and testosterone.

Transcript:

Regarding testosterone, yes, this is indeed a trait that affects sperm mobility and fertility, which are linked to testosterone levels. This is an important trait that seems to be spreading, suggesting that selection against it is weak. However, this raises the question of whether decreased testosterone is inherently bad or if it is a recent phenomenon tied to our civilization or if it has been happening for a long time, possibly even before Homo sapiens.

I used to believe in the mainstream view that higher testosterone in men was better, that masculine, alpha-male behavior was adaptive and preferred by women. The idea was that women would choose such men and that weak, feminine men were less desirable. This perspective suggests that in a group setting, women would be drawn to the stereotypical alpha male. However, research and real-life experiences contradict this.

For example, in my group of friends, there was a guy who wore glasses and was into photography, the kind you'd call a typical introverted libertarian. Despite being passive and having what’s known as a "dad bod" (chubby and not muscular), he ended up sleeping with most of the women in our social circle. The women approached him, not the other way around.

This prompted me to look into evolutionary biology, and it turns out that women often prefer such men. These men might even be more sexually attractive than heavily muscled, high-testosterone men. Consider that women generally aren’t interested in bodybuilders or competitions like Mr. Olympia. This preference has deep evolutionary roots.

Our ancestors evolved from gorilla-like beings with pronounced sexual dimorphism, where males had large canines and muscular builds due to aggressive hierarchies. Over time, as dimorphism decreased, so did these extreme masculine traits. Testosterone and aggressive masculinity started to become less advantageous. This trend may have led to our evolution towards monogamy and the civilization we have today.

Furthermore, this shift could be beneficial. It may explain why chimpanzees, with their strong sexual dimorphism and hierarchical aggression, didn’t evolve the way humans did. Reducing testosterone might preserve cognitive plasticity, allowing for extended learning periods and more adaptable behavior.

For women, choosing less aggressive, more cooperative men has advantages. Human offspring require significant parental investment, and a reliable partner is more valuable than one with merely strong genes. Unlike some animals where alpha males dominate, human society values cooperative parenting, influenced significantly by female choice.

Ultimately, whether one aims to be attractive to men or women, it’s worth considering these evolutionary and social dynamics and what price one is willing to pay for certain traits.

I have not noticed that it improves the condition of my hair, but it does improve the condition of my skin: reduces oiliness and pores.
Hello Almas,
I would like to ask you something specific about bicalutamide.
Based on your experience, Could please describe in details the difference between hrt+bica and hrt without bica ?
Also, do you think it is worth to add bica? If it is, what dosage would you recommend ?

I value you intel.

Let me know everything
Thanks a lot
